1. Eligibility & Authority to Register
By registering for a TSA event, you confirm that:

You are at least 18 years old or have the authority to register on behalf of a minor participant or team.

You have authorization from parents/guardians for any participating minors.
Coaches registering teams are responsible for the accuracy of all roster information submitted.
2. Event Registration
Registration is not considered complete until:

Texas Sports Association reserves the right to:

Deny or cancel registrations

Adjust divisions or schedules

Combine age groups if necessary

Limit participation based on capacity
3. Payments & Fees
All registration fees must be paid according to the deadlines listed for each event.
Failure to submit payment on time may result in:

Removal from the event

Loss of reserved placement
-
Additional late fees where applicable
TSA reserves the right to refuse participation for unpaid balances.
4. Refund Policy
Unless otherwise stated:

Tournament registration fees are generally non-refundable.

No refunds will be issued for:

Team withdrawal

Scheduling conflicts

Forfeits

Player absences
-
Failure to attend

If an event is canceled due to circumstances beyond TSA’s control, including but not limited to weather, facility issues, natural disasters, or emergencies, TSA may issue:

Rescheduling options
Refund decisions are made at TSA’s sole discretion.
5. Scheduling & Event Changes
Texas Sports Association reserves the right to:

Modify schedules

Change venues

Adjust game times

Alter tournament formats

Cancel divisions if necessary
Schedules are subject to change at any time.
Participants are responsible for monitoring official communications and schedule updates.
6. Player Eligibility & Verification
Teams are responsible for ensuring all players meet eligibility requirements for their division.
TSA may require:

School verification

Roster verification

Identification checks
Any team found using ineligible players may face:

Forfeiture of games

Removal from the event

Suspension from future TSA events
7. Code of Conduct
All participants, coaches, players, parents, and spectators are expected to conduct themselves respectfully and professionally.
Prohibited behavior includes:

Fighting

Harassment

Threatening behavior

Unsportsmanlike conduct

Abuse toward officials, staff, or participants

Disruptive spectator behavior
TSA reserves the right to remove any individual or team from an event without refund.
8. Assumption of Risk & Liability Waiver
Participation in basketball and athletic activities involves inherent risks, including injury, illness, property damage, or other unforeseen circumstances.
By participating in TSA events, participants and guardians acknowledge and voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation.
Texas Sports Association, its staff, venues, partners, contractors, and affiliates shall not be held liable for:

Medical expenses

Lost or stolen property

Damages
-
Accidents occurring during or related to participation
Participants are encouraged to carry appropriate medical and accident insurance coverage.
9. Medical Authorization
In the event of an emergency, TSA staff may seek medical treatment for participants if a parent/guardian cannot be reached immediately.
Participants and guardians assume responsibility for any resulting medical expenses.
10. Media & Promotional Release
By participating in TSA events, participants, coaches, teams, parents, and spectators grant Texas Sports Association permission to use:

Game footage

Interviews

Social media content
for promotional, advertising, social media, livestream, website, and marketing purposes without compensation.
11. SMS & Electronic Communications Consent
By registering for a TSA event or submitting contact information through texassportsassociation.com, you consent to receive:

Registration confirmations
